Jim Pacina Bio

Before launching Summit Custom Sign Company with his wife Kelly, Jim held several positions in both the public and private business sectors. Jim is a retired Detective from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. After retiring from the Sheriff’s Department, Jim started doing white-collar fraud investigations for a large Financial Services corporation. This exposure lead Jim to several additional opportunities and he found himself handling numerous other positions within the corporate world. Jim has held the positions of Fraud Investigator, Director of Security and Director of Business Continuity. He has also worked in Executive and Celebrity protection. During his tenure in the corporate world, Jim was transferred to the Houston area. After living there for three years, Jim and his wife Kelly decided to open their own Sign business and relocate to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jim Pacina is a California native. He attended California State University, Long Beach and graduated with a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice. He is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), a licensed Private Investigator and most importantly, an extremely proud father of two beautiful daughters. Jim truly loves living in the Colorado Springs area.

Kelly Pacina Bio     

Married to the love of her life, Jim, for 30 years and mom to two amazing, beautiful daughters, Courtney (28) and Caitlyn (24). She was a stay at home mom and chauffeured the girls to all their activities (which was a full-time job in itself). Kelly and Jim coached both girls in soccer from the beginning of their soccer adventures until they stopped playing in their teens. In 2010, she went back to school and became a Certified Pharmacy Technician in California where she worked full-time at an Independent Pharmacy until Jim’s job moved them to Texas in 2013. Kelly also worked part-time as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for an Independent Pharmacy in Texas. In early 2015, they both decided that they were tired of working for other people and launched the idea of a business in the sign industry. As empty nesters, Kelly and Jim set forth on a dream to open their own sign business in a new location, with the goal to retire in Beautiful Colorado. In 2016, that dream became a reality and Summit Custom Sign Company was founded. They live in Colorado Springs with their 3 dogs, Tank, Maggie and Jaxx. Kelly and Jim have only one regret, and that is that they didn’t do this sooner!

Scott Hilton is a Financial Advisor with Mutual of Omaha Advisors where he focuses on helping business owners with their financial goals both personal and business.
